Hell's Point Golf Club
Hell’s Point, designed by Rees Jones, was recognized as one of the “Best New Courses” by Golf Digest when it originally opened in 1982. It is a par 72 that plays just under 6800 yards from the back tees. Located about twenty minutes from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront this course features tight driving areas with well bunkered greens. It also includes a nice mix of short and long par fours and par fives.
On the front nine Bogey or worse made on the difficult second or third holes can be recovered on the short sixth and seventh holes. The back nine features a very reachable par five for the average golfer and an unreachable par five for just about any golfer. After you play make sure you pick up a hat or shirt in the Pro Shop, the course has a great logo!
