We are based out of Williamsburg, VA and launched our business in January 2008. Owned and operated by Premier LLC which has been booking golf and family vacations in Williamsburg since 2000. Virginia Golf Vacations also books golf vacations to Charlottesville, The Shenandoah Valley and Virginia Beach. Our team is made up of industry professionals that have many years experience in Hotel Operations, Golf Operations, and Group Reservations.
Our goal is to make the planning process as smooth and simple as possible, especially for “group leaders.” We understand how difficult it can be to get everyone organized and will help with the planning process even helping with course, accommodation and restaurant selections based on group preference. We also have special payment options that allow group members to pay individually, taking the financial burden of the group away from the trip planner.
THE VIRGINIA GOLF VACATIONS TEAM
Golf Ambassador and owner, Chris Hartig, is a PGA member with decades of experience in the golf business, including 15 years as a club professional. He has held many golf professional positions at four different clubs in Virginia and Florida. In 2008 Chris left his position as the Director of Golf at Kingsmill Resort & Spa to lead our team. He is responsible for day to day operations, marketing and business development. Chris was employed at Kingsmill for nine years and has been very involved in the Williamsburg and Virginia Golf Community. He was a regional director on the Middle Atlantic PGA’s Southern Chapter Board of Directors from 2008-2014. Chris also served on several Greater Williamsburg Chamber advisory boards and Committees.
Shannon Hartig, – owner, has over 24 years experience in hotel operations, sales and marketing. Shannon has held several management and leadership positions in the hotel industry, Shannon currently is the Director of Operations and Business Development for Virginia Golf Vacations sister company Apex Sports Travel

Maria Owens – supervisor and lead golf coordinator . Maria is a native of Williamsburg. She is our lead golf coordinator and has worked for Virginia Golf Vacations since 2014. She has organized and 1,00o’s of golf trips and has numerous fans. She brings strong organizational, communication and customer service skills to our team. I promise you no one will work harder to put the perfect golf trip together for you and your team!
Mark Jensen – golf coordinator. Mark is an avid golfer and loves to play golf in his free time. Mark is also a fellow traveling golfer and enjoys taking golf trips with his friends. Mark started with Virginia Golf Vacations in 2024 and has already become a favorite among many of our traveling golf golf groups.
Lisa Hodges – golf coordinator. Lisa has several decades experience in hotel operations. She has served as a general manager at several Williamsburg hotel properties. Lisa brings a wealth of reservations and local knowledge to our team.

PGA professional and Golf Director Chris Hartig has experience in many aspects of the golf business, including multi course facility operations, planning, organizing and running large golf events, including PGA Tour and LPGA Tour events, to teaching lessons and golf schools.
